Description

There are packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability referenced in the following CVE:

 - xmlregexp in libxml2 before 2.15.4 has a NULL pointer dereference in xmlRegNewParserCtxt after a strdup
 failure, i.e., it does not calculate a string length after NULL checking. (CVE-2026-86141)

Solution

Update the libxml2 library and its related packages to version 2.12.7+dfsg+really2.9.14-2.1+deb13u3+e1 or later.
