CVE-2026-53422Observable Response Discrepancy vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows an authenticated SFTP user to enumerate the existence of files and directories outside the configured root directory. The SSH_FXP_REALPATH handler in ssh_sftpd calls relate_file_name/3 with Canonicalize=false, unlike every other SFTP operation handler. This allows .. components in the requested path to bypass the is_within_root/2 check without being resolved. The un-canonicalized path then enters resolve_symlinks/2, which walks up the directory tree above the configured root and issues read_link() syscalls on arbitrary filesystem paths. An authenticated SFTP client can exploit this by sending a REALPATH request with a crafted traversal path. The server response differs depending on whether the target path exists on the host filesystem (SSH_FXP_NAME when the path resolves successfully, SSH_FX_NO_SUCH_FILE when it does not). This creates a path-existence oracle that an attacker can use to enumerate the filesystem structure outside the configured root, including the existence of sensitive files, directories, and mount points. The vulnerability leaks only the existence of paths. No file contents, credentials, or write access are obtainable through this issue alone. The information gained may assist further attacks when combined with other vulnerabilities. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/ssh/src/ssh_sftpd.erl and program routine ssh_sftpd:handle_op/4. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 29.0.3, OTP 28.5.0.3 and OTP 27.3.4.14, corresponding to ssh from 3.0.1 before 6.0.2, 5.5.2.2 and 5.2.11.9.

CVE-2026-53402In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: fbcon: fix out-of-bounds read in err_out of fbcon_do_set_font() When fbcon_do_set_font() fails (e.g., due to a memory allocation failure inside vc_resize() under heavy memory pressure), it jumps to the `err_out` label to roll back the console state. However, the current rollback logic forgets to restore the `hi_font` state, leading to a severe state machine corruption. Earlier in the function, `set_vc_hi_font()` might be called to change `vc->vc_hi_font_mask` and mutate the screen buffer. If `vc_resize()` subsequently fails, the `err_out` path restores `vc_font.charcount` but entirely skips rolling back the `vc_hi_font_mask` and the screen buffer. This mismatch leaves the terminal in a desynchronized state. Because `vc_hi_font_mask` remains set, the VT subsystem will still accept character indices greater than 255 from userspace and write them to the screen buffer. Subsequent rendering calls (e.g., `fbcon_putcs()`) will then use these inflated indices to access the reverted, 256-character font array, leading to a deterministic out-of-bounds read and potential kernel memory disclosure. Fix this by adding the missing rollback logic for the `hi_font` mask and screen buffer in the error path.

CVE-2026-53400In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: core: fix adapter registration race Adapters can be looked up based on their id using i2c_get_adapter() which takes a reference to the embedded struct device. Make sure that the adapter (including its struct device) has been initialised before adding it to the IDR to avoid accessing uninitialised data which could, for example, lead to NULL-pointer dereferences or use-after-free. Note that the i2c-dev chardev, which is registered from a bus notifier, currently uses i2c_get_adapter() so the adapter needs to be added to the IDR before registration.

CVE-2026-53366In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: account for fraggap on the paged allocation path In __ip_append_data(), when the paged-allocation branch is taken, alloclen and pagedlen are computed as alloclen = fragheaderlen + transhdrlen; pagedlen = datalen - transhdrlen; datalen already includes fraggap, but the fraggap bytes carried over from the previous skb are copied into the new skb's linear area at offset transhdrlen by the subsequent skb_copy_and_csum_bits(). The linear area is therefore undersized by fraggap bytes while pagedlen is overstated by the same amount. The non-paged branch sets alloclen to fraglen, which already accounts for fraggap because datalen does. Bring the paged branch in line by adding fraggap to alloclen and subtracting it from pagedlen. After this adjustment, copy no longer collapses to -fraggap on the paged path, so remove the stale comment describing that old arithmetic.

CVE-2026-53365In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: fix zerocopy completion for multi-skb sends When a large message is fragmented into multiple skbs, the zerocopy uarg is only allocated and attached to the last skb in the loop. Non-final skbs carry pinned user pages with no completion tracking, so the kernel has no way to notify userspace when those pages are safe to reuse. If the loop breaks early the uarg is never allocated at all, leaking pinned pages with no completion notification. Fix this by following the approach used by TCP: allocate the zerocopy uarg (if not provided by the caller) before the send loop and attach it to every skb via skb_zcopy_set(), which takes a reference per skb. Each skb's completion properly decrements the refcount, and the notification only fires after the last skb is freed. On failure, if no data was sent, the uarg is cleanly aborted via net_zcopy_put_abort(). This issue was initially discovered by sashiko while reviewing commit 1cb36e252211 ("vsock/virtio: fix MSG_ZEROCOPY pinned-pages accounting") but was pre-existing.

CVE-2026-53260In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: Add preempt_{disable,enable}_nested() in reqsk_queue_hash_req(). syzbot reported a weird reqsk->rsk_refcnt underflow in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop(). The captured reqsk_put() in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop() is called only when it successfully removes reqsk from ehash. Moreover, reqsk_timer_handler() calls another reqsk_put() after that. This indicates that the reqsk was missing both refcnts for ehash and the timer itself. Since all the syzbot reports had PREEMPT_RT enabled, the only possible scenario is that reqsk_queue_hash_req() is preempted after mod_timer() and before refcount_set(), and then the timer triggered after 1s aborts the reqsk due to its listener's close(). Let's wrap mod_timer() and refcount_set() with preempt_disable_nested() and preempt_enable_nested(). Note that inet_ehash_insert() holds the normal spin_lock() (mutex in PREEMPT_RT), so it must be called outside of preempt_disable_nested(), but this is fine. The lookup path just ignores 0 sk_refcnt entries in ehash and tries to create another reqsk, but this will fail at inet_ehash_insert(). [0]: refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. CVE-2026-53059In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm log: fix out-of-bounds write due to region_count overflow The local variable region_count in create_log_context() is declared as unsigned int (32-bit), but dm_sector_div_up() returns sector_t (64-bit). When a device-mapper target has a sufficiently large ti->len with a small region_size, the division result can exceed UINT_MAX. The truncated value is then used to calculate bitset_size, causing clean_bits, sync_bits, and recovering_bits to be allocated far smaller than needed for the actual number of regions. Subsequent log operations (log_set_bit, log_clear_bit, log_test_bit) use region indices derived from the full untruncated region space, causing out-of-bounds writes to kernel heap memory allocated by vmalloc. This can be reproduced by creating a mirror target whose region_count overflows 32 bits: dmsetup create bigzero --table '0 8589934594 zero' dmsetup create mymirror --table '0 8589934594 mirror \ core 2 2 nosync 2 /dev/mapper/bigzero 0 \ /dev/mapper/bigzero 0' The status output confirms the truncation (sync_count=1 instead of 4294967297, because 0x100000001 was truncated to 1): $ dmsetup status mymirror 0 8589934594 mirror 2 254:1 254:1 1/4294967297 ... CVE-2026-53027In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix missing run load for vcn0 in attr_data_get_block_locked() When a compressed or sparse attribute has its clusters frame-aligned, vcn is rounded down to the frame start using cmask, which can result in vcn != vcn0. In this case, vcn and vcn0 may reside in different attribute segments. The code already handles the case where vcn is in a different segment by loading its runs before allocation. However, it fails to load runs for vcn0 when vcn0 resides in a different segment than vcn. This causes run_lookup_entry() to return SPARSE_LCN for vcn0 since its segment was never loaded into the in-memory run list, triggering the WARN_ON(1). Fix this by adding a missing check for vcn0 after the existing vcn segment check. If vcn0 falls outside the current segment range [svcn, evcn1), find and load the attribute segment containing vcn0 before performing the run lookup. The following scenario triggers the bug: attr_data_get_block_locked() vcn = vcn0 & cmask <- vcn != vcn0 after frame alignment load runs for vcn segment <- vcn0 segment not loaded! attr_allocate_clusters() <- allocation succeeds run_lookup_entry(vcn0) <- vcn0 not in run -> SPARSE_LCN WARN_ON(1) <- bug fires here!

CVE-2026-53005In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Drop all SCM attributes for SOCKMAP. SOCKMAP can hide inflight fd from AF_UNIX GC. When a socket in SOCKMAP receives skb with inflight fd, sk_psock_verdict_data_ready() looks up the mapped socket and enqueue skb to its psock->ingress_skb. Since neither the old nor the new GC can inspect the psock queue, the hidden skb leaks the inflight sockets. Note that this cannot be detected via kmemleak because inflight sockets are linked to a global list. In addition, SOCKMAP redirect breaks the Tarjan-based GC's assumption that unix_edge.successor is always alive, which is no longer true once skb is redirected, resulting in use-after-free below. [0] Moreover, SOCKMAP does not call scm_stat_del() properly, so unix_show_fdinfo() could report an incorrect fd count. sk_msg_recvmsg() does not support any SCM attributes in the first place. Let's drop all SCM attributes before passing skb to the SOCKMAP layer. CVE-2026-52942In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_log: validate MAC header was set before dumping it The fallback path of dump_mac_header() guards the MAC header access only with "skb->mac_header != skb->network_header", without checking skb_mac_header_was_set(). When the MAC header is unset, mac_header is 0xffff, so the test passes and skb_mac_header(skb) returns skb->head + 0xffff, ~64 KiB past the buffer; the loop then reads dev->hard_header_len bytes out of bounds into the kernel log. This is reachable via the netdev logger: nf_log_unknown_packet() calls dump_mac_header() unconditionally, and an skb sent through AF_PACKET with PACKET_QDISC_BYPASS reaches the egress hook with mac_header still unset (__dev_queue_xmit(), which would reset it, is bypassed). CVE-2026-5293The 診断ジェネレータ作成プラグイン (Diagnosis Generator) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'js' parameter in versions up to and including 1.4.16. This is due to missing authorization checks and insufficient input sanitization in the themeFunc() function. The function is hooked to 'admin_init' and processes theme update requests without verifying user capabilities, allowing any authenticated user (including subscribers) to save malicious JavaScript to theme files. Additionally, the save() function uses stripslashes() which removes WordPress's magic quotes protection. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in theme files that will execute whenever a user accesses a page containing the diagnosis form shortcode.

CVE-2026-52863In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.25.0 up to and including 1.25.1, a fix that makes the 'respip' and 'dns64' modules work together, creates a shallow copy of the view name in effect that could lead to memory corruption if the owner of the original view name is jostled out when Unbound is under pressure. Unbound needs to be configured with one of 'respip'/'rpz' modules, together with a module that can attach subqueries (respip CNAME redirection, dns64, subnetcache) and a configured 'access-control-view' while Unbound is under pressure so that joslte logic kicks in and starts dropping slow queries. The subquery is getting a shallow copy of the view name and if the super query which owns the view name is jostled out, memory corruption can occur. Likelihood of a crash is low, since it relies heavily on the underlying memory allocator and the memory layout. Debug memory builds (e.g., ASAN) that catch the free terminate the server.

CVE-2026-5169The Inquiry Form to Posts or Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'Form Header' field in versions up to and including 1.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization when saving via update_option() and lack of output escaping when displaying the stored value. The vulnerability exists in two locations: (1) the plugin settings page at inq_form.php line 180 where the value is echoed into an HTML attribute without esc_attr(), and (2) the front-end shortcode output at inquery_form_to_posts_or_pages.php line 139 where the value is output in HTML content without esc_html(). CVE-2026-5167The Masteriyo LMS – Online Course Builder for eLearning, LMS & Education plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in versions up to and including 2.1.7. This is due to insufficient webhook signature verification in the handle_webhook() function. The webhook endpoint processes unauthenticated requests and only performs signature verification if both the webhook_secret setting is configured AND the HTTP_STRIPE_SIGNATURE header is present. Since webhook_secret defaults to an empty string, the webhook processes attacker-controlled JSON payloads without any verification. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to send fake Stripe webhook events with arbitrary order_id values in the metadata, mark any order as completed without payment, and gain unauthorized access to paid course content.

CVE-2026-5090Template::Plugin::HTML versions through 3.102 for Perl allows HTML and JavaScript to be injected. The html_filter function did not escape single quotes. HTML attributes inside of single quotes could be have code injected. For example, the variable "var" in <a id='ref' title='[% var | html %]'> would not be properly escaped. An attacker could insert some limited HTML and JavaScript, for example, var = " ' onclick='while (true) { alert(1) }'" Note that arbitrary HTML and JavaScript would be difficult to inject, because angle brackets, ampersands and double-quotes would still be escaped.

CVE-2026-5087PAGI::Middleware::Session::Store::Cookie versions through 0.001003 for Perl generates random bytes insecurely. PAGI::Middleware::Session::Store::Cookie attempts to read bytes from the /dev/urandom device directly. If that fails (for example, on systems without the device, such as Windows), then it will emit a warning that recommends the user install Crypt::URandom, and then return a string of random bytes generated by the built-in rand function, which is unsuitable for cryptographic applications. This modules does not use the Crypt::URandom module, and installing it will not fix the problem. The random bytes are used for generating an initialisation vector (IV) to encrypt the cookie. A predictable IV may make it easier for malicious users to decrypt and tamper with the session data that is stored in the cookie.

CVE-2026-5083Ado::Sessions versions through 0.935 for Perl generates insecure session ids. The session id is generated from a SHA-1 hash seeded with the built-in rand function, the epoch time, and the PID. The PID will come from a small set of numbers, and the epoch time may be guessed, if it is not leaked from the HTTP Date header. The built-in rand function is unsuitable for cryptographic usage. Predicable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems. Note that Ado is no longer maintained, and has been removed from the CPAN index. It is still available on BackPAN.

CVE-2026-5082Amon2::Plugin::Web::CSRFDefender versions from 7.00 through 7.03 for Perl generate an insecure session id. The generate_session_id function will attempt to read bytes from the /dev/urandom device, but if that is unavailable then it generates bytes using SHA-1 hash seeded with the built-in rand() function, the PID, and the high resolution epoch time. The PID will come from a small set of numbers, and the epoch time may be guessed, if it is not leaked from the HTTP Date header. The built-in rand function is unsuitable for cryptographic usage. Amon2::Plugin::Web::CSRFDefender versions before 7.00 were part of Amon2, which was vulnerable to insecure session ids due to CVE-2025-15604. Note that the author has deprecated this module.
