1.4 SNMP Security - a) SNMP Community Security

Information

Both SNMP version 1 and SNMP version 2 are insecure. If SNMP is required, SNMP version 3 should be configured.

 NOTE: No snmp-server configuration has been detected.

Solution

If SNMP is required, ZTE Router Platform should be configured for SNMP version 3 only.

 Configuring SNMP version 3 by running the following commands:

 ZXR10 # configure terminal
 ZXR10 (config)#snmp-server version v3 enable
