AIOS-18-015500 - Apple iOS/iPadOS 18 must disable the download of iOS/iPadOS beta updates.
Information
Beta operating system updates may contain features that could lead to the compromise of sensitive DOD information or provide a vector for the attack on the DOD network. The current STIG will not normally provide controls to disable these unsecure features.NOTE: Nessus has not performed this check. Please review the benchmark to ensure target compliance.
Solution
Install a configuration profile to disable the installation of new configuration profiles. This will block the download and installation of beta iOS and iPadOS updates. This is a supervised-only control.See Also
