Information
Level 1, Scorable
This security setting allows a user to be logged on by means of a batch-queue facility. For example, when a user submits a job by means of
the task scheduler, the task scheduler logs that user on as a batch user rather than as an interactive user. In Windows 2000 Server,
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional and the Windows Server 2003 family, the Task Scheduler automatically grants this right
as necessary.
SQL Server Agent proxies define the security context for a job step. SQL Server Agent proxies use credentials to store information about
Windows user accounts. The user who is specified in the credential must have the 'Log on as a batch job' permission on the computer that
is running SQL Server 2005.
