5.3.1.1 Ensure latest version of pam is installed

Information

The pam package provides the Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM) framework and the core modules used by the system's authentication, login, and password-change services.

To ensure the system has access to the PAM module functionality used by this Benchmark, the installed version of pam should be 1.5.1-14 or later.

Solution

Run the following command to install or update pam to the latest version:

# dnf install pam
