1.136 (L1) Ensure 'Wallet Donation Enabled' is set to 'Disabled'

Information

The Wallet Donation feature in Microsoft Edge allows users to view their donation summary, explore Nonprofit organizations (NPOs), donate to an NPO, manage their monthly donations, and view their donation history.

The recommended state for this setting is: Disabled.

Allowing users the ability to use the wallet donation feature in Microsoft Edge could lead to sensitive data being exposed.

Solution

To establish the recommended configuration via GP, set the following UI path to Disabled :

Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Microsoft Edge\Wallet Donation Enabled

Note: This Group Policy path may not exist by default. It is provided by the Group Policy template MSEdge.admx/adml that can be downloaded from Microsoft from Download Edge for Business https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download.

Impact:

The wallet donation feature in Microsoft Edge will not function.
