Synopsis
The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.Description
Sebastian Krahmer discovered that the Squid pinger incorrectly handled certain malformed ICMP packets. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to cause Squid to crash, resulting in a denial of service.Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
