Ubuntu Security Notice (C) 2014-2016 Canonical, Inc. / NASL script (C) 2014-2016 Tenable Network Security, Inc.
The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.
Jakub Wilk discovered that APT did not correctly validate signatures
when downloading source packages. If a remote attacker were able to
perform a man-in-the-middle attack, this flaw could potentially be
used to install altered source packages.
Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding
description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable
has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.
Update the affected apt package.
