Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related
patches.

Description :

Arthur Gerkis discovered a buffer overflow in the Icedtea-Web plugin.
If a user were tricked into opening a malicious website, an attacker
could cause the plugin to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code as
the user invoking the program.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding

has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected icedtea-6-plugin and / or icedtea-7-plugin
packages.
