Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description :

It was discovered that cvs incorrectly handled certain responses from
proxy servers. If a user were tricked into connecting to a malicious
proxy server, a remote attacker could cause cvs to crash, or possibly
execute arbitrary code.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding

has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected cvs package.
