Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description

Felix Geyer discovered that the quassel-core post installation script created data and logging directories which were readable by all users.
The post installation script also generated a certificate, in the data directory, which was readable by all users.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected quassel-core package.
