Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description :

It was discovered that rdesktop incorrectly handled specially crafted
paths when using disk redirection. If a user were tricked into
connecting to a malicious server, an attacker could access arbitrary
files on the user's filesystem.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding

has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected rdesktop package.
