Synopsis

The remote host is vulnerable to a buffer overflow.

Description

The remote host is using Opera 9.00. The version of Opera installed on the remote host contains a flaw in the way that it handles JPEG images. An attacker exploiting this flaw would need to be able to convince an Opera user to browse to a malicious URI. Successful exploitation would result in the browser crashing and possibly executing arbitrary code.

Solution

Upgrade to version 9.01 or higher.
