Synopsis

The remote Solaris system is missing a security patch from CPU oct2016.

Description

This Solaris system is missing necessary patches to address critical security updates :

- Vulnerability in the Solaris component of Oracle Sun Systems Products Suite (subcomponent: Files). The supported version that is affected is 11.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Solaris executes to compromise Solaris. - Vulnerability in the Solaris component of Oracle Sun Systems Products Suite (subcomponent: Filesystem).
Supported versions that are affected are 10 and 11.3.
Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Solaris executes to compromise Solaris. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Solaris.
(CVE-2016-5553)

- Vulnerability in the Solaris component of Oracle Sun Systems Products Suite (subcomponent: Installation). The supported version that is affected is 11.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Solaris. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Solaris accessible data. (CVE-2016-5566)

- Vulnerability in the Solaris component of Oracle Sun Systems Products Suite (subcomponent: Kernel Zones). The supported version that is affected is 11.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Solaris executes to compromise Solaris. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Solaris. (CVE-2016-5576)

- Vulnerability in the Solaris component of Oracle Sun Systems Products Suite (subcomponent: Lynx). The supported version that is affected is 11.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Solaris executes to compromise Solaris. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Solaris. (CVE-2016-5615)
