Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

According to its version and configuration, the remote Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) device is affected by a denial of service vulnerability due to improper handling of Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol (ISAKMP) packets. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via specially crafted ISAKMP packets, to cause the device to reload.

Solution

Apply the relevant patch referenced in Cisco bug ID CSCus94026.
