EMC RSA Authentication Manager < 8.1 SP1 Patch 14 Multiple Vulnerabilities

medium Nessus Plugin ID 91131

Synopsis

An application running on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of EMC RSA Authentication Manager running on the remote host is prior to 8.1 SP1 Patch 14. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities :

- Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities exist due to a failure to properly validate input before returning it to users. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit these, via a specially crafted request, to execute arbitrary HTML or script code in the user's browser session. (CVE-2016-0900, CVE-2016-0901)

- A flaw exists due to a failure to properly sanitize carriage return and line feed (CRLF) character sequences in HTTP responses headers. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to inject arbitrary HTTP headers and to conduct HTTP response splitting attacks.
(CVE-2016-0902)

Solution

Upgrade to EMC RSA Authentication Manager version 8.1 SP1 Patch 14 or later.
