Ubuntu Security Notice (C) 2015-2016 Canonical, Inc. / NASL script (C) 2015-2016 Tenable Network Security, Inc.
The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.
Jann Horn discovered a ptrace issue with user namespaces in the Linux
kernel. The namespace owner could potentially exploit this flaw by
ptracing a root owned process entering the user namespace to elevate
its privileges and potentially gain access outside of the namespace.
Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding
description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable
has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.
Update the affected linux-image-4.2-raspi2 package.
