Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description :

Breno Silveira Soares discovered that Bind incorrectly handled certain
zone data when configured to perform DNSSEC validation. A remote
attacker could use this issue with specially crafted zone data to
cause Bind to crash, resulting in a denial of service.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding

has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected bind9 package.
