MS15-022: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Could Allow Remote Code Execution (3038999)

This script is Copyright (C) 2015-2017 Tenable Network Security, Inc.

Synopsis :

The remote host is affected by multiple remote code execution
vulnerabilities.

Description :

The remote Windows host has a version of Microsoft Office, Office
Compatibility Pack, Microsoft Word Viewer, Microsoft Excel Viewer,
SharePoint Server, or Microsoft Office Web Apps that is affected by
multiple vulnerabilities :

- Multiple remote code execution vulnerabilities exist due
to incorrectly handling objects and rich text format
files in memory. A remote attacker can exploit these
vulnerabilities by convincing a user to open a specially
crafted file using the affected software, resulting in
execution of arbitrary code in the context of the
current user. (CVE-2015-0085, CVE-2015-0086,
CVE-2015-0097)

- Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities exist due
to improperly sanitized requests to affected SharePoint
servers. An authenticated attacker, via a specially
crafted request, can exploit these vulnerabilities to
execute script code in the security context of the
current user. (CVE-2015-1633, CVE-2015-1636)
