Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description

Vasiliy Kulikov discovered that acpid did not properly handle connections from poorly behaving clients. A local attacker could potentially exploit this to cause a denial of service.

Solution

Update the affected acpid package.
