Squirrelcart cart_content.php cart_isp_root Parameter Remote File Inclusion

medium Nessus Plugin ID 21571

Synopsis

The remote web server contains a PHP script that is affected by a remote file include issue.

Description

The remote host is running Squirrelcart, a shopping cart program written in PHP.

The version of Squirrelcart installed on the remote host fails to sanitize user-supplied input to the 'cart_isp_root' parameter of the 'cart_content.php' script before using it to include PHP code. Provided PHP's 'register_globals' setting is enabled, an unauthenticated attacker may be able to exploit this issue to view arbitrary files on the remote host or to execute arbitrary PHP code, possibly taken from third-party hosts.

Solution

Contact the vendor for a patch.
