Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for tomcat.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:2921 advisory.

 - tomcat: A bug in the UTF-8 decoder can lead to DoS (CVE-2018-1336)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL tomcat package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:2921.
