Fedora 27 : seamonkey (2017-baeedefe13)

high Nessus Plugin ID 105964

Language:

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing a security update.

Description

Update to 2.49.1

Based on the Firefox/Thunderbird ESR (extension support release) code version 52.4.0

Fixes various security issues, see https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox-e sr/ and https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/thunderbi rd/ for more info.

Since the version of 2.48, SeaMonkey uses another disk cache implementation. It is preferable to clear the cache (even before the update) to avoid extra disk space usage by the old cache data.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora update system website.
Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected seamonkey package.
