Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

It was discovered that missing input validation in the Open Ticket Request System could result in privilege escalation by an agent with write permissions for statistics.

Solution

Upgrade the otrs2 packages.

For the oldstable distribution (jessie), this problem has been fixed in version 3.3.18-1+deb8u1.

For the stable distribution (stretch), this problem has been fixed in version 5.0.16-1+deb9u2.
