EMC RSA Authentication Manager < 8.2 SP1 Patch 2 Self-Service Console Brute-force PIN Disclosure (ESA-2017-084)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 101847

Synopsis

An application running on the remote host is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

The version of EMC RSA Authentication Manager running on the remote host is prior to 8.2 SP1 Patch 2 (8.2.1.2). It is, therefore, affected by an information disclosure vulnerability in the self-service console due to a lack of brute-force protection mechanisms. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to disclose a user's PIN.

Solution

Upgrade to EMC RSA Authentication Manager version 8.2 SP1 Patch 2 (8.2.1.2) or later.
