DerbyCon isn’t just another security conference. DerbyCon is a place where you can meet each other, party, and learn. Their goal is to create a fun environment where the security community can come together to share ideas and concepts. Whether you know Linux, how to program, are established in security, or a hobbyist, the ideal of DerbyCon is to promote learning and strengthen the community.
Tenable's Product Manager, Jack Daniel, will be delivering a talk at DerbyCon entitled "Surviving a Teleporter Accident (It Could Happen to You)". This talk, which is really on the subject of risk-based security, will compare and contrast time travel to network security, while working in some subtle references to so-called subversive education.
Jack Daniel brings many years of IT security expertise to Tenable Network Security. In addition to his position at Tenable, Jack is Director of the National Information Security Group (NAISG), a non-profit organization focused on promoting IT security awareness. Before joining the company, he served as Community Development Manager at Astaro AG, a Sophos company, where he grew Astaro’s partner and customer, and IT and security communities.
