Information

Turn off console logging in production. Console logging in a production environment is a needless drain on system resources.

Solution

In order to prevent JBoss from logging to console, open the JBOSS_HOME/server/@PROFILE@/conf/jboss-log4j.xml file. Next, remove or comment out the <appender-ref> element with a ref attribute value of 'CONSOLE'. This <appender-ref> element will be a child of the <root> element, typically located near the end of the document.
