Information

The Solaris volume manager automatically mounts CD-ROMs and floppy disks for users whenever a disk is inserted in the local system's drive (the mount command is normally a privileged command that can only be performed by the superuser). Be aware that allowing users to mount and access data from removable media drives makes it easier for malicious programs and data to be imported onto your network.
