This setting enables or disables the Windows Game Recording and Broadcasting features. The recommended state for this setting is: Disabled. Rationale: If this setting is allowed, users could record and broadcast session info to external sites, which is both a risk of accidentally exposing sensitive company data (on-screen) outside the company as well as a privacy concern. Impact: Windows Game Recording will not be allowed.
Solution
To establish the recommended configuration via GP, set the following UI path to Disabled: Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Game Recording and Broadcasting\Enables or disables Windows Game Recording and Broadcasting Note: This Group Policy path may not exist by default. It is provided by the Group Policy template GameDVR.admx/adml that is included with the Microsoft Windows 10 RTM (Release 1507) Administrative Templates (or newer). Default Value: Enabled. (Recording and Broadcasting (streaming) is allowed.)
