Information

A review should be made of which services are running on the IT system. Services which are not needed should be disabled or removed (see S 5.72 Deactivation of unnecessary network services)

* Please note that the equivalent of inetd.conf in Red Hat is xinetd.conf

Solution

It is possible to check this by entering the command netstat -a | grep listen.
