Industry Research: SANS 2015 Control Systems Survey Report
How do your ICS/SCADA security challenges compare with SANS findings?
The findings from SANS 2015 survey on the state of control systems security have been analyzed and compiled into a report titled, “The State of Security in Control Systems Today.”
Tenable co-sponsored this research project, which reports on survey responses from 314 ICS/SCADA security professionals, including a significant number from outside of North America. The majority of participants indicate their organizations are concerned about keeping their most basic ICS operations running reliably and safely. They also shared an increasing uncertainty over whether their systems had been infiltrated without their knowledge.
By reading the report you will gain insight into the broader state of control systems security. This will help you assess how your operations compare with those of your peers. Topics covered in the report include:
- Business concerns
- Detection and response methodologies
- Key threat vectors
- Perceived vulnerabilities
- Security initiatives, policies, and standards
- Technology convergence
“The State of Security in Control Systems Today” was developed by SANS researchers, Derek Harp, business operations lead for the Industrial Control System (ICS) programs at SANS and Bengt Gregory-Brown, a consultant to the SANS ICS program and principal analyst at Sable Lion Ventures, LLC.
