Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

The remote Oracle Linux 6 / 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2016-3568 advisory.

- libcontainer/user/user.go in runC before 0.1.0, as used in Docker before 1.11.2, improperly treats a numeric UID as a potential username, which allows local users to gain privileges via a numeric username in the password file in a container. (CVE-2016-3697)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution
