Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description

It was discovered that gpsd incorrectly handled certain malformed GPS data. An attacker could use this issue to cause gpsd to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.

Solution

Update the affected gpsd package.
