Ubuntu 12.10 : keystone vulnerability (USN-1772-1)

Ubuntu Security Notice (C) 2013-2016 Canonical, Inc. / NASL script (C) 2013-2016 Tenable Network Security, Inc.

Synopsis :

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.

Description :

Guang Yee discovered that Keystone would not always perform all
verification checks when configured to use PKI. If the keystone server
was configured to use PKI and services or users requested online
verification, an attacker could potentially exploit this to bypass
revocation checks. Keystone uses UUID tokens by default in Ubuntu.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding
description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable
has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible
without introducing additional issues.

Solution :

Update the affected python-keystone package.
