Synopsis

Nessus was able to obtain the version number of the remote EMC AutoStart agent service.

Description

The version number of the remote EMC AutoStart ftAgent was obtained by sending it a series of ftAgent-specific packets.

Note that a valid AutoStart domain name is required. This plugin uses a list of default domains as well as the one learned from the heartbeat packets sent from the remote host to a multicast address. If the Nessus scanner is not on the same LAN segment as the remote host and the AutoStart default domain name has been changed, this plugin will not be able to obtain the AutoStart ftAgent version. Therefore, to achieve optimal results, it's advised, if possible, to place the Nessus scanner on the same LAN segment as the AutoStart node.
