FTPS Plaintext Fallback Security Bypass

Synopsis :

The FTPS server on the remote host falls back to plaintext
communication if SSL negotiation fails.

Description :

The remote FTPS server accepts unencrypted commands on an encrypted
port if SSL negotiation fails. This security bypass could allow an
attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle attack, intercept credentials
and modify files.

Solution :

If using Serv-U, upgrade to version 11.1.0.3 or later.

Otherwise, contact the vendor for a patch.
