Synopsis
The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related patches.Description
It was discovered that Squid incorrectly handled certain malformed packets received on the HTCP port. A remote attacker could exploit this with a specially crafted packet and cause Squid to crash, resulting in a denial of service.Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
