Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for kdegraphics.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2009:1512 advisory.

- xpdf: multiple integer overflows (CVE-2009-0791)

- xpdf/poppler: SplashBitmap integer overflow (CVE-2009-1188)

- xpdf/poppler: Splash::drawImage integer overflow and missing allocation return value check (CVE-2009-3604)

- xpdf/poppler: integer overflow in ObjectStream::ObjectStream (oCERT-2009-016) (CVE-2009-3608)

- xpdf/poppler: ImageStream::ImageStream integer overflow (CVE-2009-3609)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL kdegraphics package based on the guidance in RHSA-2009:1512.
