Arbitrary code can be executed on the remote host through the media
The remote host is using a version of Windows Media player that is
vulnerable to a directory traversal attack through its handling of
An attacker could exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code on this
host with the privileges of the user running Windows Media Player.
To exploit this flaw, an attacker would need to craft a specially
malformed skin and send it to a user of this host, either directly by
email or by sending a URL pointing to it.

- Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.1
- Microsoft Windows Media Player for Windows XP (Version 8.0)
