Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for pki-core.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2017:2335 advisory.

 - pki-core: mock CMC authentication plugin with hardcoded secret enabled by default (CVE-2017-7537)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL pki-core package based on the guidance in RHSA-2017:2335.
