Jack Daniel Speaking at InfoSecurity Europe 2014

InfoSecurity Europe 2014 Registration

April 29, 2014
10:40am to 11:05am
We all know we need to patch our systems, and an entire industry has been built around patch management. Unfortunately, for many “Patch Management” simply appears to involve people yelling at us to “patch faster” without explaining why, much less how to do this while meeting the demands of patch testing, prioritization, and validation. Adding to the challenge, we have to “patch faster” without breaking anything, and with limited resources. This presentation will discuss the requirements and challenges of an effective patch management process, including pitfall and alternatives to simply “patching faster”. Strategies for patch testing, deployment, and recovery will be discussed- as well as alternatives to traditional patching.
