Jack Daniel Speaking at InfoSec World 2014

InfoSec World 2014 Registration

April 8, 2014
2:00pm to 3:00pm
In the immortal words of Yogi Berra, "it's like deja-vu all over again".

We have seen cycle after cycle of change and disruption in technology and security, and it seems that on each iteration the industry goes through the same series of mistakes, panic, despair, and finally varying levels of resolution. In this presentation, Mr. Daniel will review disruptions from the historical move to client-server computing up to the current "Bring Your Own [whatever]" panic, then focus on the common issues, and common solutions, to these cycles. By abstracting the details and focusing on broader ideas we can identify ways to progress from the cycle of panic and reaction to preparedness.
